Galileo and the Magic #’s: Chapter 9

Another kinda short narration, I’ll post more stuff I want to write later.

Galileo makes a more powerful telescope, and views the stars with his friend Sarpi. He views things that are said by the Aristotlians to not exist. He views for the first time Jupiter’s moons, 3 the first night, then he sees the fourth another night.

He publishes a book called ‘A message from the Stars’ which was viewed with distaste by the other professors. “If Aristotle didn’t say anything about it, it is not there” was their reply. Aristotle returns to Florence for a while, at the age of 46. His mother and father passed away, and Michelangelo is in Germany. His fame is ever increasing though…

And that’s my short narration… And next time, I’ll do another of my posts where I talk about something completely random and yet interesting, like my Phobia’s post. Next up: Cryptids! Don’t know what a cryptid is? Good…. I’ll explain…. Soon.

Trip Post #43: Windsor, CA, and San Francisco!

Location: Windsor, CA

Geocaches: 288

We’ve been staying in a house in Windsor, CA, where we met some people who let us stayed in their house while they went to the east coast. We’ve been traveling to San Francisco a lot, which, if you follow me on Google+, you will know. We’re leaving Windsor today, back on the road!

Yesterday we went Geocaching, and found about 5. We found a huge one in San Francisco, it was THIS big! 😛

We’ve been doing a lot of school, and I’ve been trying to get done a lot, cause I’m behind a little. I’ve been doing a lot of Khan Academy, Penny Boarding, tag, and fun.

10 Phobias that you didn’t know existed

So, I was looking up phobia’s, and I found a Wikipedia page listing them, and here are my top 10 favorites:

1: Barophobia:

The fear of gravity. I’ve never met anyone afraid of gravity, or afraid of suddenly floating upward, but I did think this one was funny

2: Chronophobia:

The fear of time. Afraid of time? Never heard that. You can’t stop time!

3: Coulrophobia- Fear of Clowns

This one I’ve known, but I’ve never known the name… I can see how clowns could be scary to some people.

4: Cyberphobia:

The fear of technology. Probably most grandparents (not mine, of course).

5:Friggatriskaidekaphobia:

Fear of Friday the 13th. I can see that.

6: Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia:

Fear of the number 666, the number of the beast. I just love the long word.

7: Nomophobia:

Fear of no cell service. This just made me laugh so hard.

8: Sesquipedalophobia:

The fear of long words. What made me laugh for this one was how the word describing it is actually pretty long.

9: Acrophobia

The fear of heights. Did you know that was the name for it?

And finally, my favorite of all time:

10: Phobophobia

The fear of fear itself or the fear of developing a phobia. How can someone be afraid of fear? I can see someone being afraid of developing a phobia, in which case they already have, but the fear of being afraid? You can’t be afraid of being afraid, because you already are!

I hope you enjoyed my list of my favorite phobia’s, which also counts as my narration for school today, I just was thinking about phobia’s one day and found this on Wikipedia!
